Dr. "Jay" Holthus

As a life-long resident of the Susquehanna Valley, Dr. Jay Holthus is fortunate to have the ability to work in a profession that he greatly enjoys and to serve the community in which he was raised. He resides in Lewisburg with his wife, Jennifer, and two children-Vaughn and Livia.

Following the completion of his undergraduate degree at Juniata College, he began his professional training at Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia. While in attendance, he served as president of the Pediatric Dental Honor Society and was the recipient of the Edward B. and Arnold R. Cook Award in Dentistry as well as the American Society of Dentistry Award for Children. He completed a two year pediatric dental residency at St. Christopher's for Children where in 2003 he and his colleagues received the Philadelphia County Dental Society Research Award.

In August of 2003, he returned home to central Pennsylvania to serve as director of Pediatric Dentistry at the ACTION Health Dental Clinic in Sunbury. He was pleased to have the opportunity to provide non-profit pediatric dental care for the children of the five surrounding counties prompting AHEC to recognize him as a 2004 Dental Hero of the Year.
It has been his dream to establish his own practice in Lewisburg-and he is proud to have built a practice that is custom designed for the unique needs and personalities of children. Not only does he focus on prevention, early detection and treatment of dental diseases, but he also strives to remain current on the latest advances in children's dentistry.

He welcomes children from birth to the age of 13 years, the behaviorally challenged, the medically complex and all special needs patients. From the office design, to communication style, his main concern is what is best for your child.

Dr. Aamna Ali

Dr. Aamna Ali is excited to join the Pediatric Dentistry of Lewisburg family, and can’t wait to start getting to know her patients! Whether it’s talking endlessly about Harry Potter or choosing a favorite Disney Princess, Dr. Ali loves connecting with her patients to make them feel at home in the dental chair.   She believes each child has a special and unique story, all of which contribute to the personalized care she provides to her patients.

She grew up in the frigid winters of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Not surprisingly, her favorite movie is Frozen, because it reminds her so much of growing up and playing with her sister in the snow!  After obtaining her undergraduate degree in Biology and Physiology from the University of Minnesota, she completed her dental training at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.  She was actively involved in clinical research with the Cleft Palate Team/Craniofacial Clinic as well as the department of Oral Radiology.

Upon graduation from dental school, Dr. Ali was excited to move from Minnesota to the bustling, vibrant city of New York! She completed her general practice residency at Jacobi Medical Center where she received extensive training in all aspects of general dentistry.  Subsequently, she completed her pediatric dental residency at St. Barnabas Hospital, where she served as chief resident in her second year.  She developed a passion for treating patients with special needs and served as a liaison between her residency program and the Rose F. Kennedy Center- a center designed to provide comprehensive services to patients with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

In her free time, you can often find Dr. Ali buried in a good book, trying her hand at cooking various cuisines, experiencing new cities during her travels with her husband, and most of all watching a classic Disney movie - after all she believes no one can ever be too old to watch The Little Mermaid!
